Position Primary Purpose and General Duties:

This position will provide support to full-time research staff for a behavioral phenotyping study. Duties include: successfully completing all required training activities (including human subjects protections training), conducting phone and in-person screening of potential research participants, completing urine drug screening tests and recording results, maintaining study records, administering face-to-face assessments/clinical interviews, launching computerized behavioral tasks and questionnaires for participants, scheduling study visits, data entry and validation, and other administrative support tasks, as needed.

Minimum Hiring Standards
  • Experience working in a clinical research setting recruiting, consenting, and carrying out study procedures with adult participants
  • Proficient in computer skills including word processing, data entry, spreadsheet, database management, and entry level statistical/programming skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills such as establishing rapport, maintaining participant motivation, empathic responding, ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, and ability to use clinical judgment in (rare) emergency situations.
  • Strong organizational skills, including understanding of HIPAA regulations.

Preferred Hiring Standards
  • Experience creating and administering surveys in REDCap
  • Experience in conducting mental health surveys with adults
  • Experience collecting biospecimens from research participants, including hair, saliva, and urine
