Summary:

The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) has up to 4 postdoctoral research associate positions immediately available. The research focus of our laboratory will be on overcoming cancer resistance to EGFR and HER2 inhibitors and activating/reactivating p53 and its mutants. The department has a group of outstanding scientists in pharmacology and drug abuse research, and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with them and get assistance in developing an independent career in the research field

Required Qualifications:

Applicants should have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree and proven skills and experience in the research areas of cancer pharmacology and cancer biology, in particular, cancer developmental therapeutics and cancer drug resistance. The ideal candidate should have publication records in peer-reviewed journals that demonstrate significant findings and use of various laboratory techniques, as well as experience in use of preclinical tumor models

This is a restricted position and continued employment is dependent upon project need, availability of funding, and performance.
