Summary:

The postdoctoral fellow will perform theoretical calculations on the capture and conversion of CO2 using a multi-scale approach including density functional theory and classical as well as quantum molecular dynamics. The postdoctoral fellow will also conduct experimental ultrafast transient absorption measurements of charge separation and electron transfer in solution phase systems.

Typical Education and Experience

Required qualifications: The candidate must have a Ph. D. in Physics or in Physical Chemistry and experience working on computer codes such as VASP and Gaussian, as well as experience in ultrafast spectroscopy techniques.

Typical Licensure

Preferred qualifications: Experience in machine learning and generation of force-fields and modeling of catalysts and energy materials will be an added advantage.

Salary Range: $48,000 - $50,000
