Physical Requirements

Moving and lifting object from floor to above shoulders up to 25 pounds. Standing and sitting at computer terminals and laboratory bench completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time. Working with materials requiring personal protective equipment in accord with EH&S policy.

Shift

Primarily Days Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, some evenings and weekends are possible.

Job Summary

This position will focus on our work elucidating the mechanisms that mediate genetic risk factors for Alzheimer's disease.

The successful applicant will be highly organized, have demonstrated to generate experimental data and perform their analyses, be willing to learn new techniques as needed by the project, have strong communication skills, and be a team player.

The ideal candidate will have experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques ranging from gene cloning to qPCR to Western blots, as well as mouse husbandry, mentoring students, and ordering supplies.
