Job Summary

The Chen Lab is in the Spinal Cord & Brain Injury Research Center in the University of Kentucky. We study how glial cells con tribute to the repair of the central nervous system, by using a combination of mouse genetics, experimental central nervous system ( CNS) injury models, mouse behavioral assays, and cellular and molecular biology.

We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic, and collaborative candidates. In consultation with the PI (Dr. Chen), main responsibilities include project management, hypothesis testing by in vitro and in vivo experiments, independent data collection, analysis, and organization, and manuscript writing.

Experience with mouse work is highly desired (e.g., mouse colony maintenance, genotyping, surgery, histology, imaging). Experience with the following techniques i s preferred: cell culture, microscopy, histology, cellular and molecular techniques.
