Responsibilities
Serves as Information Technology Manager for the FSU Police Department, and is responsible for overall direction, planning, system implementation and staffing. Manager of the department's computing facilities, computing systems, databases, software, mobile systems, web services, and other emergency dispatch and/or records management applications. Daily public contact with students, faculty, staff, and law enforcement personnel. Reports to the Chief of Police and ITS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: appropriate post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
- Valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License or the ability to obtain prior to hire.
- Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Training and FDLE Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Certification is required within six months of hire.
Considerations
This is an A&P position requiring a background check, and CJIS background check.
