Job Summary

The Center for Children and Families (CCF) is currently recruiting for an Equipment Manager to join their team of professionals in the Summer Treatment Program (STP).
Duties:
  • Maintains recreational storage areas for the Summer Treatment Program operated by the Center for Children and Families. Organizes and maintains storage shelves and cabinets.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Monitors condition of equipment, repairs or recommends replacement of worn equipment.
  • Researches appropriate sports training equipment for purchase and assists with ordering.
  • Assists with setup and take-down of temporary equipment on a daily basis (soccer goals, portable basketball hoops, water coolers).
  • Assembles equipment such as wagons, basketball hoops, soccer rebounders.
  • Measures, marks, and paints lines for soccer fields and baseball fields. Monitors and maintains lines for duration of program.
  • Sets up, monitors, and replenishes water coolers for children and staff to use during recreational activities.
  • Inspects fields and courts for hazards such as broken glass, ant hills, and large rocks. Takes appropriate action to fix problem.
  • Removes debris/trash (e.g., empty water bottles, tree branches) from courts and fields and transports debris to dumpster.
  • Consults with program counselors regarding age-appropriate sports skill drills and appropriate use of equipment.
  • Assists program counselors with incorporation of sports equipment into daily skill drills.
  • Records and photographs recreational games and skill drills for use in program staff feedback sessions. Assists with access to video data and performs daily transfer and backup video data.
  • Coordinates tasks with office staff and school janitorial staff members as needed.
  • Assists with setting up, monitoring, and taking down equipment used during Fun Friday activities.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Work Schedule

Up to 40 hours per week. Part-time morning shifts (7:00 AM-1:00 PM) and afternoon shifts (12:00 PM-6:00 PM) available.
