Position Purpose
The Director of Strategy and Project Management serves as a key leader of marketing and communications strategy for the Geisel School of Medicine and the Medical and Healthcare Advancement office. The position is dedicated to bringing strategic focus, cohesion, and coordination to our shared work, enabling the wider team to execute best-of-industry communications and marketing strategies in the smartest, most efficient manner.
The Director leads the implementation of communications strategy, project management, and client relationships spanning the school and the advancement office, bringing strategic focus, direction, and results to a wide range of marketing and communications needs across a diversity of audiences. The Director brings strong leadership skills and an ability to both motivate and track progress across numerous projects, deliverables, and timelines to deliver the best possible solution to organizational needs on time, on budget, and of the highest quality.

- Experience in leading and participating in collaborative teams.

- 10-15 years of leadership experience managing diverse teams across complex, multifaceted initiatives in a complex organizational environment.
- Depth of experience in a client/partner relationship management capacity, including
- Experience with project management and intake systems (e.g. Wrike, Monday).
- Demonstrated experience assessing and translating organizational needs to delivered solutions, on-time, on budget, and of the highest quality.
Experience
- Experience in a healthcare, research, or higher education environment.
- Experience with marketing automation systems.
- Experience with enterprise CRM/database systems
- Master's degree in a related field.
- PMP or similar certification a plus.

Partnerships and Relationship Management
- Manages relationships with offices, departments, colleagues, partners, and clients across the school, the advancement office, and the broader community supporting the conceptualization, planning, execution, and evaluation of a range of marketing and communications initiatives, campaigns, and collateral.
- Develops, manages, and facilitates a constituent engagement strategy
- Leads project management and reporting through a range of meetings and other constituent engagement efforts, including stand-up meetings, project briefings, reports to governance and leadership, etc.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships with communications colleagues across Dartmouth and Dartmouth Health, often exercising a high degree of autonomy and judgement
- Works with creative, content, and video production colleagues to align content and creative with digital and deployment strategy.
