The purpose of this position is to advise, counsel and assist faculty members in designing and creating high quality courses in accordance with the instructional and teaching policies of CCBC.

Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.

Master's degree in one of the following: Instructional Systems, Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Design, or completion of graduate level certification in instructional design for online courses. Three (3) years of related experience in the field, higher education preferred. One (1) year of experience training adult learners or teaching in higher education.
  1. Provide assistance to CCBC faculty in the application of instructional design and instructional technology.
  2. Design and develop courses and training applying current instructional technology principles.
  3. Develop training materials and conduct training workshops.
  4. Remain current on instructional technology/design research.
  5. Assess the instructional effectiveness of course materials.
  6. Provide periodic reports on course development projects and faculty development needs.

  1. Provide support in the development and implementation of online learning courses and programs.
  2. Promote new developments throughout the college in online learning technologies, best practices, quality assurance and pedagogy.
  3. Conduct training for faculty to meet instructional design and development learning opportunities and needs.
  4. Provide instructional design, development and evaluation services.
  5. Assist and support the research planning, design, and development of professional development resources.
  6. Collaborate with instructional technology staff to ensure effective communications and support needs for online learning courses.
