The purpose of this position is to provide professional level administrative support services to assigned department or program.
High school diploma/GED and five years related office experience or Associate's Degree and three years related office experience; knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications; must complete and pass Microsoft testing modules which includes Word and Excel and demonstrate the ability to type 35 wpm. (Candidates with proof of current Microsoft Office Expert Specialist Certification do not need to test.)

- Assist and provide information to students, faculty, administrators and the college community.
- Assist in planning meetings, special events, and with special projects.
- Serve as liaison between department or program and other offices or organizations.
- Research, analyze and process data into college systems.
- Maintain records and files.
- Answer, screen and direct telephone calls.
- Compile reports, documents, forms and correspondence.
- Create and track check requests, requisitions, work orders and other request forms.
- Process and manage all relevant course, program and/or personnel paperwork.
- Serves as a liaison between department, program, other offices and organizations both internal (HR, Payroll, Student Billing, etc.) and external (disabilities service providers, county and state agencies, etc.) while supervising temporary hourly staff.
- Research, analyze and process data into college systems.
- Maintain, assist and monitor the departmental budget process including the creation and design of reports for students' third party and foundation funding related to special projects and the coordination, collection, compilation, and analysis of third party payments and billing for students accounts.
- Manage calendars for department personnel including supervisor's calendar and assist with special projects.
- Research and evaluate instructor, contract and classroom issues toward resolution. This includes referring unresolved issues to the director.
- Serve as point of contact for students, their families, and their service providers. This includes scheduling intakes and assessments, assisting with registration issues, and providing course information, schedules, and evaluations.
- Track and process rosters, grades, contract billing, and other reports using ConEd Supp and Banner.
