Serve your community in a satisfying career!! Amherst County Service Authority is accepting applications for a Utility Mechanic. Experience in water and sewer pipeline installation and maintenance and other work associated with water and sewer utility operations is preferred. Depending on applicant qualifications, the position may be filled as an entry level Apprentice.
Outdoor and periodic weekend, holiday, and night work are required. A strong candidate will be dependable and have mechanical ability, a current Virginia driver's license and good driving record, and a willingness to learn and undertake varying assignments. A high school diploma or GED is required.
Security, driving, and drug screen checks will be completed on final applicants. Starting salaries are DOE/DOQ, with a range of $30,888 - $45,000 for an experienced Utility Mechanic and $28,536 - $33,000 for an Apprentice. ACSA is an EOE and has excellent benefits.
